Kimothy Walker , BJ / 91

Named one of the Top Forty Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal in 2008, CTV Ottawa Weekend News anchor and producer Kimothy Walker saw her program’s viewership grow 36 per cent in the spring 2008 ratings book. Walker joined CTV as a student reporter in 1990, a year before graduating from Carleton.

Involved in a number of charities and events, Walker is on the board of directors for Ottawa Race Weekend, an ambassador and past-nominee for the YMCA Women of Distinction Awards and is active in promoting organ donation. She is a regular helper at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and she uses her public voice to fight child abuse and support victims of it. In addition, she volunteers to raise awareness about issues like breast cancer, thyroid disease and osteoporosis.
