Former Raven’s soccer player Corrine van Ryck de Groot punched, shot and kicked her way to the $25,000 grand prize on NBC’s reality TV show Next Action Star. In the process, she won a starring role in Bet Your Life, a 2004 television action movie in which she played a bounty hunter.

Her latest role is as Panther, a member of American Gladiators. She has also appeared on episodes of Lost, Heros and CSI: NY.

After graduating, van Ryck de Groot served on the Ottawa-Carleton police force for three years. She left the force in 1998, moving to the U.S. where she became a world-ranked professional boxer. The south-paw boxer cross-trains between 4-6 hours a day. One of her fights was on the undercard of a bout between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson.

Van Ryck de Groot is also a celbrity fitness trainer.
