
Gregory M.E. Spierkel’s decades of broad-based experience in global operations management has seen him manage complex and large-scale operations throughout the world. Currently he is CEO of Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest technology distributor.
Since joining the company in 1997 as president, Ingram Micro Asia-Pacific, Spierkel has risen to the positions of president of Ingram Micro Europe, executive vice president and then corporate president of Ingram Micro Inc., becoming CEO in 2005.
Before that, Spierkel spent 11 years in executive management positions with Ottawa-based multinational Mitel Corp. including senior vice president of global sales and marketing; president of Mitel Inc. in Reston, Va.; managing director of Mitel Telecom in the United Kingdom with responsibilities over Europe and Asia; and general manager of Mitel Far East Ltd. in Hong Kong.
He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor of commerce degree from Carleton University. He also attended the Advanced Manufacturing Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Spierkel sits on boards for the schools of business at the University of California, Irvine, and Chapman University. He is also a member of the board of directors for PACCAR, Inc.
