Biography
Named one of the Top 40 Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal in 2006, Bruce Linton, an Ottawa-based high-tech entrepreneur, worked in various capacities at CrossKeys and Newbridge Networks, was the president and co-founder of webHancer Corp., and was the general manager and re-founder of ComputerLand before becoming vice-president of SC Stormont.
When Clearford Industries Inc. contracted with SC Stormont in 2005, and acquired Brooklin Concrete Inc., Linton became president and CEO for Clearford’s two divisions: wastewater systems and Brooklin concrete.
A former president of the Carleton University Student Association, Linton has maintained his ties to Carleton, formerly serving on the Board of Governors and the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs Campaign Steering Committee. In 2006, he joined the planning committee for the President’s Golf Tournament.
Linton is a board member at Site Brand Corp., chairman of the Ottawa Community Loan Fund, and treasurer and director at Canadian World Youth.
