Ruth Lifeso , BSc / 63

Ruth Lifeso worked for Carleton’s Faculty of Science for 30 years. When she retired in 2000, the faculty recognized Lifeso’s contributions to the university by establishing the Ruth Lifeso Scholarship Fund.

A volunteer and longtime supporter of Carleton, Lifeso donated a significant collection of Carleton College memorabilia to the university’s archives for Carleton’s 60th anniversary.

Lifeso serves as an alumni representative on the university senate. In 1993, she was given the A.D. Dunton Alumni Award of distinction.
