Marcy Grossman was appointed Consul General of Canada in Miami in 2005 and leads an energetic team responsible for guiding all aspects of the Canada-U.S. relationship. In addition to providing important consular services to Canadian citizens, Grossman develops business opportunities and political, cultural and academic relationships throughout Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Grossman came to Miami from the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, where she served as senior trade commissioner and investment consul. She joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 2002 as a senior account executive for Investment Partnerships Canada, the country’s federal economic development agency. Within this capacity, Grossman developed a full spectrum of investment marketing campaigns including the publication of the bestselling book Innovation Nation highlighting Canada’s prowess as a business pacesetter.

Before joining the foreign service, Grossman held management positions in numerous federal government departments. She launched her career in the criminal justice system, serving in varied capacities within Correctional Services Canada after earning her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in psychology at Carleton.
