
Robert Fisher is a nationally recognized, award-winning broadcast journalist with more than 30 years of experience in public and private radio. A graduate of Algonquin College in Ottawa, he later attended Carleton University where he obtained a master of journalism degree.
Robert worked for 10 years with CBC Television, reporting on national, political and municipal politics before becoming a senior news anchor and political affairs specialist for the Global Television Network. In addition to his current roles as daytime news reader and news reader on CBC Radio One’s Here & Now (Toronto), he is a regular contributor to TVO’s weekly political program Fourth Reading and a political analyst for CBC Radio programs in Windsor and Sudbury.
Robert has taught journalism law and ethics at Centennial College in Toronto and radio and television news production at Ryerson University in Toronto.
