
Kellylee Evans, a unique voice on the urban-jazz scene, released her independent record Fight or Flight? in 2006 and created her own company, Enliven! Media.
A semi-finalist in the HOT 89.9 Urban Showcase, Evans was also awarded second place honours in the Thelonious Monk Jazz Vocals Competition, judged by Quincy Jones, Al Jerreau, Flora Purim, Kurt Elling and Jimmy Scott. In 2007, she received a Juno nomination in the Vocal Jazz Album of the Year category.
With bachelor degrees in law and English, Evans left her Master’s degree unfinished to pursue her music career. Her debut album was recorded in New York City and features some of the community’s finest jazz musicians.
