Dean Drevniok’s father founded Frecon Construction and provided his son and successor with support and freedom in the company. Now the general contracting company, working primarily within the institutional, commercial and industrial sectors, has landed its largest project of more than $16 million.

Drevniok gained hands-on experience working summers at the firm while in high school and when studying civil engineering at Carleton. He officially joined the company ranks after graduation.

Drevniok is chair of the Ontario General Contractors Association and past president of the General Contractors Association of Ottawa. He was named one of the 2008 Top Forty Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal.
