
A mechanical engineer by training, Denis Barbeau and his business partner bought Systemscope in 2004 and quadrupled gross revenues within two years. Providing strategic consulting services for the government of Canada in management consulting, e-government and information management, Barbeau succeeded even when the government had a moratorium on contracting in place.
“We stayed true to our core competencies, marketed like hell, and didn’t panic. Within a couple of months, the tide had turned,” he says.
Barbeau was named one of the Top Forty Under 40 2008 by the Ottawa Buisness Journal.
