Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the interests and advancement of the Carleton University Alumni Association (CUAA) and the university. Each volunteer brings a unique combination of interests, skills, experience and talents that enables Carleton to make a positive difference in the lives of students and graduates.
Within the CUAA, there are positions available on the National Executive Council or on the executive of each chapter or affiliate. For more information about volunteering for the CUAA, contact Heather Theoret at 613-520-2600 ext. 2273.
The Class Officer initiative is a new and exciting student and alumni volunteer leadership opportunity that helps your classmates to stay in touch with one another and the university. Class Officers are individuals who are willing to represent their academic program and help keep fellow classmates and graduates engaged and informed of university developments. For more information about becoming a Class Officer, contact Heather Theoret at 613-520-2600 ext. 2273.
Volunteers also contribute to the university by serving on the Editorial Advisory Committee of the Carleton University Magazine. This group participates in the thrice-yearly production of Carleton’s communication vehicle. For more information about the Editorial Advisory Committee, contact the magazine editor at magazine_editor@carleton.ca.
In recent years, alumni have been invited to actively participate in convocation ceremonies. Representatives symbolically welcome new graduates to the alumni association just after they receive their degrees.
